• Making effective decisions based on hair analysis for specific event
• Tackling time limits
• Understanding volume vs. humidity
• Tools and product knowledge
• Partings for film, photography, and events
• Hair Analysis - the specific tools required
• Hot Roller Sets: Look 1 Off base, full volume demonstration with teasing tech
• Lab (student practice)
WORKSHOP 2, November 23, 2009, 6:00 pm
• Men's hair care for corporate and commercial looks
• Ladies' basic haircare
• Research, development and creation of editorial work
• Hot Roller: Look 2 half-base retro modern
• Comb-outs, quick changes
• Proper teasing for maximum volume
• Mobile kit prep, maximum tools for minimum space
• Lab (student practice)
WORKSHOP 3, November 30, 2009, 6:00 pm
(Students are asked to arrive with their models camera-ready, dry hair)
• Bridal hair
• Curling iron techniques Look 3 half-up/half down
• Veil and tiara placement
• Low chignon Look 4 simple up-do
• Lab (student practice)
Supplies to bring: hot rollers, flat iron, curling iron, drape, finishing hairspray, bobbie pins, flat hairpins, live model (female minimum shoulder-length hair), male any length
